HOW WE WORK
An instructional video is any video that demonstrates a process, transfers knowledge, explains a concept, or shows someone how to do something. People engage the most with those videos that capture the human experiences and emotions and can let people into the content using an authentic storytelling approach.... Yes, even the simple “how-to” videos. This idea of presenting honest interactions, whether comedic or dramatic, is what’s drives a Mindful Designs project.
Finding the ‘heart’ of any material isn’t always easy, but it’s a challenge that we relish in helping you discover. Mindful Designs is based in the New York/New Jersey area (with a satellite studio in Los Angeles) which allows us to pull from the best possible resources from talent to crew. However, we work with clients worldwide. Being a one-stop creative production studio allows us the utmost flexibility and creative control to meet your needs in the most professional way possible.
DEVELOPMENT (focusing your ideas into a story)

This fun and creative process starts simply with us listening to you. Tell us what your idea is, what your needs are, and what learning objectives you would like to accomplish with your video. We then proceed through four important stages to deliver your final product.
PRE-PRODUCTION (getting your story ready to be filmed)

Consideration of learning theories and scientific approaches to maximize engagement.

Workshopping scripts to fine-tune issues, ensure learning objectives are integrated, and make sure the content will connect with your audience.

Casting the talent, assembling the crew, scouting locations, and a thousand other details that you don’t have to worry about, that’s our job.
PRODUCTION (bringing your story to life)

Most clients enjoy this phase the most as they see their concepts becoming reality while we film.

Bringing together our expert teams in producing, cinematography, sound recording, and lighting to shoot your video.

Maintaining a professional and creative set, through detailed organization, planning, budget considerations, and food (PRO TIP – A happy set is one with an assortment of Costco muffins each morning!)
POST-PRODUCTION (packaging your final product)

Your video is edited – with your input – until it is ready to be finalized.

Sound editing, visual polishing, and any graphic or music elements complete the process so that your video shines and educates in ways that exceed your expectations.
